Moderne softwaresystemen zijn kwetsbaar omdat ze ontrafeld kunnen worden en van zodra een aanval gevonden is, hij kan toegepast worden op eender welke geïnstalleerde kopie van de software. Dit project bestudeert technieken om software te diversifiëren waardoor een aanvaller verplicht wordt om elke kopie afzonderlijk te kraken.
