Project description

T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) arises from malignant transformation of precursor T-cells and often affects children. In the search for novel genetic defects in this cancer, PHF6 was recently identified as a novel tumor suppressor gene in T-ALL. In this project, the cellular function of PHF6 and its role in normal T-cell development and T-ALL will be investigated.
