Project description
Arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy is a rare heritable heart muscle disease, characterized by progressive substitution of myocardium by fibro-fatty tissue. Molecular mechanisms underlying this disease remain elusive. In the PhD project of Laurens Léger, engineered heart tissues from patientspecific induced pluripotent stem cells are generated to elucidate early molecular mechanisms.
