Het doel van ons onderzoek is het vergelijken van twee vooraanstaande neuropsychologische modellen van ADHD: toestandsregulatie en aversie voor uitstel. Aan de hand van gedrags- en psychofysiologische metingen worden specifieke voorspellingen van beide modellen nagegaan en wordt getracht het inzicht in cognitieve en motivationele processen te vergroten. Ons onderzoek draagt bij tot de psychologische theorievorming rond ADHD, met implicaties voor diagnostiek en behandeling.
