PHF6 T-ALL genetics

Project description

T-ALL is an agressive malignancy that develops in the thymus and is characterized by an uncontrolled division of immature T-cells. Recently, we identified deletions and inactivating mutations of the PHF6 gene in ~20% male T-ALL patients and ~25% male T-ALL cell lines. The exact function of this transcription factor and his role in the development of T-ALL are not known.
