Project description

The general aim of this project is to improve the average feed conversion on Flemish pig farms by at least 0.1 units (from 2.94 in 2013 to at most 2.84 in 2020). This improvement could lead to a net saving on Flemish pig farms of € 25,720,000 / year, on the one hand caused by lower feed costs, and on the other hand due to lower manure costs as a result of reduced nutrient emissions (172,000 tons less manure / year).
