Project description
Unraveling the molecular background of ligand/functional selective GR-dependent impact on human mature adipocyte functionality under pro-inflammatory conditions. Three milestones are contemplated 1) (Primary) adipocyte (cell line) characterisation and identification of a low-grade inflammatory condition that is increasing the adipocyte functionality, 2) Comparative transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics study in low-grade inflamed human mature adipocytes, treated or not with SEGRAM versus classical GCs versus classical GCs combined with PPAR agonists, 3) Elucidation of the role of (co-)factors in these differentially treated adipocytes.
