Project description

Casualty risks during and after disasters (such as floods, earthquakes etc.) have received scant attention up to now. In this research, a calculation method will be presented which incorporates not only disaster related factors, but also spatio-temporal elements. The methodology will offer the possibility to compare multiple scenarios, in order to determine a strategy which minimizes the casualty risk for a given disaster.
