Project description

Mayflies, stoneflies and caddisflies are indicators of a good water quality. By identifying these macroinvertebrates to species level, data will become available that will be used to develop habitat suitability models. In addition, landuse along watercourses, habitat connectivity and species interactions will be taken into account. The obtained data will also be useful for monitoring biodiversity in Flanders.
