The first of three innovation goals is to build a generic framework for design of modular drivetrains in healthy operation. For all three considered modularity levels, it will enable users to introduce, design and evaluate modularity up to the required optimal cost, reliability and performance. The second goal is to first assess and then improve the reliability and operation under fault conditions. The third goal is to showcase all findings incl. the development of added value from modularity on two research cases.
