Project description

People Management, the interaction between HRM and leadership, forms a crucial pillar for promoting well-being and performance within organizations. This research highlights how the interplay between leadership and HR practices contributes to creating an environment where employees can thrive. By combining insights from theory and practice, the study examines how strategic alignment between HR policies and leadership behavior can lead to increased job satisfaction, reduced stress, and improved performance. The Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) theory will be used to formulate hypotheses exploring various motivational pathways. These hypotheses will be tested using large-scale time-lagged, multi-source data and quantitative multilevel analyses. The research aims to produce A1-level journal articles as well as publications targeted at policymakers and the general public. The findings will also be incorporated into the teaching materials for the course People Management taught by the promoter.
