Oblieke luchtfoto’s die sinds begin jaren 80 genomen werden door fotograaf/piloot Jacques Semey , in opdracht van de vakgroep archeologie, geven een uniek inzicht in het archeologische patrimonium in Vlaanderen. Aan de hand van deze luchtfoto’s worden alle zichtbare archeologische sporen gekarteerd in een geografisch informatie systeem. De verkegen dataset wordt door de archeologische dienst Raakvlak gebruikt voor het beheer en beleid van het archeologische erfgoed in de regio rondom Brugge.
