The deparmtent of Archaeology has already since the beginning of the 80’s a unique collection of oblique reconnaissance photogtraphs documenting archaeological sites in Flanders. By means of a computer-aided approach all visible sites are mapped in a geographic information system. The dataset is an unparralleled source for the archaeological heritage management in the area around Bruges.
