Project description

In this study, the results obtained in the Diabetes Projects of Aalst and Leuven are compared with those of the control region Sint-Niklaas and also examines the cost-benefit aspect of the various intervention modalities. research questions: Are the process parameters on diabetes better in the framework of the Project Leuven Diabetes and Diabetes Project Aalst compared to the usual care? Have the interventions under the Project Leuven Diabetes and Diabetes Project Aalst had a significant effect on the primary outcome (HbA1c, LDL-C) compared to the usual care? What is the cost (direct medical costs) by type 2 diabetes patients in the control and intervention regions in (groups)? What are the 'avoided costs'' by using the Diabetes Project Diabetes Project Leuven and Aalst compared to the costs associated with the regular care?
