The dissertation includes a legal analysis of the policies that healthcare institutions take today in taking lifelong decisions (such as euthanasia and therapy limitation). This policy is being assessed on the legal status of the institution, the patient and the healthcare provider. This should result in the formulation of a global legal framework and recommendations for the development and application of life-end policies within healthcare institutions.
