Project description

The task involves scientific guidance and interpretation of the seismic and vibration onderozek drilling in the exploration zone 4 in the BCS. The assignment is part of the measurement campaign, in order to examine the distribution and the characteristics of the aggregates in the zone 4. For this purpose, seismic survey will be conducted which will be the basis in order to carry out a number of exploration points by means of vibrating bores (vibrocores). This with a view to future Exploitation of the zone concerned. This measurement campaign itself has already been bid and awarded. Because of this important task and the lack of specific geological knowledge within the Department, recourse to the extensive experience of the Renard Center of Marine Geology to guide the scientific research; as well as integrate the data obtained and interpret. This should guarantee that research on highly qualitative way can be done in order to achieve a maximum return on investment
