Projectomschrijving

Dit onderzoeksproject heeft tot doel de interactie te ontleden tussen het adaptief immuunsysteem en de belangrijkste effector in botafbraak, met name de osteoclast. Dit laatste celtype speelt een belangrijke rol in de structurele botschade die patienten met o.a. artritis ervaren. Vanuit translationeel oogmerk is het dus belangrijk om pathways te identificeren waardoor deze cellen worden geactiveerd.
