Project description

Based on a comparative legal analysis the project tackles four topics regarding the suitability and necessary constraints of popular constitutional law-making: (1) do citizens have an inalienable right to alter the Constitution based on popular sovereignty?, (2) which constitutional topics are suitable?, (3) which procedural safeguards are necessary?, (4) what should be the role of the legislature and the courts?
