PERCAL exploiteert gemeentelijk vast afval (MSW) als grondstof voor de ontwikkeling van industrieel relevante chemische producten met een hoog rendement en hoge zuiverheid. Doelstellingen van PERCAL omvatten ethyllactaat, barnsteenzuur biosurfactants. PERCAL introduceert nieuwe productie (voorbehandeling van MSW en fermentatie), extractie- en zuiveringspijplijnen inclusief in huis (CMET) ontwikkelde membraanelektrolyse.
