N-glycaan analyse via capillaire electroforese met laser-geïnduceerde fluorescentie op DNA-sequencers werd in het Callewaert lab voor het eerst ontwikkeld en is geëvolueerd tot een standaard-techniek in het glycobiologisch onderzoeksveld. Duizenden stalen worden jaarlijks geanalyseerd in ons lab voor eigen onderzoek alsook dat van verschillende collega’s in meerdere faculteiten, bv. voor diagnostisch onderzoek en onderzoek naar glycoproteïne vaccins.
