Het Sexpert project heeft tot doel om de seksuele gezondheid in Vlaanderen in kaart te brengen. Aan de hand van interviews werd data verzameld omtrent de aanwezigheid van seksuele dysfuncties, ervaring met zwangerschap, ervaring met seksueel geweld, eerste keer seks... Daarnaast werd gepeild naar mogelijke correlaten/verklaringen: zowel sociologische variabelen (bv.cultureel kapitaal), psychologische variabelen (bv. relationeel welzijn) als biologische variabelen (bv. testosteronwaarden) werden hierbij opgenomen.
