This research proposal aims to gain insight in the role of agency in the desistance process of drug-using offenders. besides a focus on the development of their desistanceprocess, the role of agency in this process will be identified. The results of this empirical test will allow to develop policy and theoretical recommendations concerning the influence of agency in the desistance process of drug-using offenders.
