Op verschillende plaatsen in Vlaanderen worden de grenswaarden van fijn stof overschreden. Het uitvoeren van chemische karakterisatie van fijn stof zal informatie geven over de samenstelling en de herkomst van het fijn stof. Op regelmatige basis zullen er op verschillende locaties in Vlaanderen filters bemonsterd worden op fijn stof. Een van de componenten van dit project is de bepaling van EC/OC op kwartsvezelfilters.
