In this project, we propose to conduct a comprehensive mechanical characterization of a thermoplastic film to understand its thermomechanical response under various loading rates and service temperatures. The test results will be used to identify the material parameters of the constitutive model, referred to as the USCP model [1,2], developed by the UGent-MMS group. The parameter identification process, also developed by the same group, will provide the material settings for the FE software Abaqus. A library containing the USCP model will be provided to AMCOR for running simulations in their FE software.
