Project description

The present project investigates the development and maintenance of body image problems and whether the parent-child relationship protects against the effect of appearance-focused media on children’s body image and wellbeing? This proposal is innovative because its focus on middle childhood, examination of both risk and protective factors and the challenging methodology using a longitudinal, ecological momentary assessment and experimental design.
