Project description

This project combines two recent developments in immunotherapy: dendritic cell (DC)-based vaccination and immunogenic cell death (ICD). For this, we will explore high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) as a none-invasive means to damage tumor tissue and induce ICD. The immune response will be boosted by immunotherapy using mRNA-loaded microbubbles for ultrasound-triggered delivery of antigen- and adjuvant-mRNA to DCs in vivo.
