Projectomschrijving

Het onderzoeksproject is gericht op het recent opkomende pathogeen Fusarium poae, mede verantwoordelijk voor de ziekte Fusarium Head Blight. Dit organisme is binnen dit ziektecomplex verantwoordelijk voor het meest toxische chemotype, internationaal is er echter nog zeer weinig over geweten. Via multidisciplinair onderzoek wordt de levenscyclus en de rol van mycotoxinen onderzocht en worden zwakke plekken voor bestrijding geïdentificeerd.
