Project description

Nowadays, surveys carried out in developing countries, reveals very high levels of mycotoxin contamination in food matrices. Inspite this rapid increase in research results from developing countries, no data has been reported for Cameroon. Thus, this project aim at the following objectives: to obtain knowledge on the extend of mycotoxin contamination in different areas of Cameroon, to gather information on the mycotoxin contents in the Cameroon's staple food, to introduce easy-to-use field test for mycotoxin analysis in Cameroon and to transfer knowledge on good agricultural practices in order to reduce mycotoxin contamination.
