In this Methusalem project a large-scale multidisciplinary research effort will be launched to develop concepts and technologies for smart photonic chips aimed at monitoring a wide variety of systems of critical societal importance (transport, energy, manufacturing, …) as well as at diagnosing diseases at an early stage by means of low-cost point-of-care systems.
