Project description

The aim of the project is to evaluate the influence of mares' milk fatty acids on the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. The composition of mares' milk will be analysed during a longitudinal study. Fatty avids will be given special attention since their possible beneficial effects on human health. Health- promothing effects of these components will be evaluated using an animal model.
