The National Action Plan (NAP) against domestic violence 2004-2007, adopted by the Council of Ministers on May 7, 2004 and the next NAP currently in editorial states that the Minister of Social Affairs and Health as a mission to raise awareness among health professionals for the problem of domestic violence. Thus, awareness campaigns that have to be in the form of an information and sensitization moments, in order to improve the identification, for the early detection, treatment and follow-up of cases of domestic violence within the hospital grade context.
