Er is een dringende nood aan nieuwe behandelingsmethoden voor diverse long pathologieën. Inhalatie therapie met small interfering RNA (siRNA) laat een directe afgifte toe in het longweefsel, maar klinisch gebruik is gelimiteerd door onvoldoende opname in de long doelwitcellen. Dit project tracht een hybride nanoformulatie op basis van long surfactant te optimaliseren voor efficiënte siRNA afgifte via inhalatie therapie.
