Project description
This study examines the socialisation of police officers at three organizational levels from the perspective of role theory. It is a longitudinal research employing mixed methods (survey and interviews) to map the attitudes and experiences of recruits during three phases of the entry process, namely ‘anticipating’, ‘learning’, and ‘being’ (cfr. Charman, 2017).
