Project description

A multi-centre cross-sectional study on the frequency/control of symptoms in older cancer patients in a palliative phase was set up. Patients (minimal 400 patients) admitted to (non-)geriatric wards in Flemish hospitals were eligible for participation. The results will give insight in the development and implementation of an intervention to optimize symptom control and palliative care in these vulnerable patients.
