Project description

In this project, we aim to investigate causal relationships in the labor market. One example is examining whether providing jobseekers with information about job opportunities influences their job search behavior. Does being laid off affect the spending patterns of the dismissed individual? If so, how? Has the introduction of flexible jobs lowered wages for employees and increased the profitability of businesses? These are just a few examples of the focus areas of this research project. The central aim is to identify and estimate causal relationships that are useful for gaining a better understanding of how the labor market functions or how policies aim to improve this functioning. The questions and methods will be further specified as the project progresses.
