Project description

By means of mass spectrometry, we will study the proteomic and peptidomic patterns in aging Caenorhabditis elegans nematodes. These patterns will also be focused on in worm populations showing lifespan extension (by mutation in the Ins/IGF signal transduction pathway, the mitochondria and by dietary restriction). We will search for functional overlap in the resulting patterns.
