Project description

The inflammatory caspases modulate immune respones, but their undesired activation is associated with immune disorders in humans. However, the development of inhibitors that can discriminate between different inflammatory caspases is still a major challenge. Here we will develop new classes of inhibitors that target specific inflammatory caspases. Such inhibitors will offer tremendous opportunities for studying the signaling pathways of inflammatory caspases, and for therapeutic intervention.
