The research group is known for its expertise in “algebraic and group theoretical methods in physics,” and related computational methods. In particular, in the field of representation theory of Lie superalgebras, many important contributions were made. A lot of these contributions are inspired by questions or models from mathematical physics. Topics include: Representation theory of Lie algebras, Lie superalgebras and quantum groups with applications in mathematical physics; Special functions, orthogonal polynomials and applications; Quantum theory, finite quantum systems, quantum oscillator models; Wigner quantum systems; Parabosons, parafermions and generalized quantum statistics.
