The Ethology and Animal Welfare Research Group contributes, through fundamental and applied research, to the knowledge of behaviour of animals and the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of welfare problems in animals managed by humans. Such animals include companion animals, farm animals, horses, laboratory animals and zoo animals.
