Within Ghent University, the CoCooN research group, a prototype reactor was designed and developed for the treatment of all types of powders and particles with ALD, ranging from nanopowders to centimeters of objects. With this project we will tackle the latest challenges and set up a business model to launch a commercial entity that will offer this coating technology, primarily to industrial and academic research labs and later to production facilities. The technology will be offered in the form of coating systems for both R&D and industrial production, co-development of coating strategies and applications, coating service and support for scaling up processes.
