Project description

With the new VISION I plasmatron at the SCK-CEN (Mol) it is possible to study the combined effect of different operational conditions in a tokamak. Deep understanding of the interaction between fusion plasma and inner reactor materials is indispensable for the design of the ITER tokamak and future commercial fusion power plants. Obtaining this knowledge requires also dedicated modeling.
