Project description

The goal of this project is to develop advanced techniques for quantitative microwave tomography. We aim at improving the quality of 3D microwave imaging by combining our complementary expertise: competencies in electromagnetic forward modeling and inverse microwave techniques (INTEC), expertise in numerical aspects of non-linear inverse problems (ETRO/IRIS) and expertise in statistical modeling and processing of digital images (TELIN/IPI). The developed techniques will be tested in medical imaging for breast cancer detection.
