Project description

The Biostation combines in microscope, an incubator and a camera in one compact body allowing sophisticated time-lapse imaging of cell and embryo cultures. The system will be applied for human embryonic stem cell research to study the transition of blastocyst to stem cell outgrowth in order to identify and characterize intermedian cell structures that may arise. Additionally it can be used to study the oocyte activation mechanism and further embryo development.
