This research project examines how the flourishing transborder trade has contributed to the rapid urbanization of Kasumbalesa, a town located on the Congolese-Zambian border, through ethnographic methods. It also investigates how migration fueled this urbanization, bringing multiple ethnic groups together and reshaping their identities.
