This research focuses on the production of biochar from agricultural waste streams for application in water treatment. Emphasis is placed on the removal of organic micropollutants and metals through a combination of adsorption, surface complexation, ion exchange, and chemical transformation mechanisms. The aim is to develop a sustainable, cost-effective, and circular solution for advanced water purification.
