Project description

The general aim of this project is to develop specific knwo-how concerning the development and the possible use of spiral submerged arc welded pipes (SA) for demanding in-service application pipelines for safe and reliable use of this kind of pipe product, both onshore and - mainly - offshore. requiring good performance under the application of large strains. The outcome of this project can also be used as technical basis for improving existing international standards and guidelines for oil and gas pipelines, addressing the design and safety of spiral-welded pipelines
