Project description
Bronchial asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways which is increasingly observed in developed countries. Asthma is associated with airway remodeling including the induction of lymph vessels. We want to elucidate the mechanisms of asthma-associated lymphangiogenesis and the functional consequences for the disease pathogenesis. Together, these experiments will help to understand how these processes can be therapeutically modulated.
