Project description
In this study, extracts from agriculture byproducts from Pakistan will be screened for biopesticide activity. Next to direct toxic effects on pathogens/pests, we will evaluate if these extracts can induce resistance (IR) in plants. Extraction of bioactive molecules and screening for biopesticide/IR activity will be done in Pakistan. Detailed molecular investigations of their mode-of-action will be executed in Belgium.
