Project description
This project examines the discourse of forgiveness in colonial and postcolonial Maluku, focusing on the impact of Dutch colonialism. Using critical discourse analysis, the research explores how colonial violence and its legacy are framed in public narratives, media, and language policy and how Dutch apologies are received, particularly in Maluku.
