Project description

Metastasis is the major cause of cancer deaths. We found evidence that a newly identified protein, hNanos-3, might play an important role in tumor dissemination. Three different approaches are followed to investigate whether hNanos-3 expression increases the malignant potential of lung and prostate cancer cells: genetically modified mice, identification of molecular interaction partners, characterization of target transcripts encoding key proteins.
